A bit about us
Whangaparaoa Tennis Club is the largest Tennis Club on the Hibiscus Coast and one of the top 5 clubs in North Harbour. With 6 artificial grass courts and the ambition to expand this, the club has a fully licensed bar and approximately 150 Senior and 255 Junior Members with the expectation that this will only grow. Whangaparaoa is one of the most socially active tennis clubs in North Harbour with club tennis sessions being very popular with its dedicated Senior Members sessions (every Wednesday & Sunday), as well as the social drinks in the bar afterwards. Uniquely, our courts are never locked which allows the local community to have access to playing tennis by contributing to our honesty box.
The courts are in use extensively all week and all year around for club events, hosting Interclub games for Seniors and Juniors and coaching programmes run by our resident coaches. The junior programme at the club – ‘Tennis Passion’ is very active, with junior coaching sessions for 5–18-year-olds, operating at the club throughout the entire year, summer & winter. In the past 12 months we have had 255 juniors (191 families) enrolled in our junior programme. In the summer months (Term 4 & Term 1) we have 20 junior coaching sessions for the various age groups / abilities per week, as well as 6 – 8 junior interclub teams playing on Fridays / Saturdays. There are also circa 14 Senior teams playing in the North Harbour Interclub competition and North Harbour Ladies Interclub as well as organised club play 2-3 times per week.

Gold – Naming rights to either courts 3 or 4. Our ‘centre courts’ are positioned in front of the clubhouse, viewing and bar area.
Silver – Naming rights to either court 1 or 2. Weekly professional coaching takes place for 250 kids on these courts – a high-traffic area for parents.
Bronze – Naming Rights to either court 5 or 6. Our most visible courts for members of the public walking through the park.
